Arrival Home

With the scarcity of the Gordon Setter breed, we needed to travel to the other end of the country to Hernwood Kennels to collect her. That required several stressful hours up the motorway, thankfully the drive was fine, but we discovered a dislike of roundabouts in the last few miles.

Getting home meant meeting the children, and I think it’s a toss-up whether the 2, or 4, legged family members were most nervous. I spent that long prepping for the new addition that I’d not considered the existing little things (despite having grown up with dogs in the household since birth).

It’s early days; cuddles have been popular, Mr Chompy (the stuffed turtle) has been wrestled with, and the indoor ball has been pounced on with the bounciest of pounces.
